Goldstein, Michael. Faster, Cheaper, Better: The Three-Year Undergrad Degree in the Global Online Market. Tyton Partners. Dec. 1st, 2021. https://tytonpartners.com/faster-cheaper-better-the-three-year-undergrad-degree-in-the-global-online-market/
Summary:
In this article, the author starts by discussing how covid expressed the idea of online learning and how much economic opportunity there is in struggling places around the world. But depending on how serious the person was about finishing in three years a person could stack up on summer and winter classes if they wanted to. The three-year undergraduate degree is growing among people and is becoming increasingly popular with American Institutions expanding virtually. The text states multiple disadvantages of the U.S. model one which restricts you from collaborating with foreign people. Michael used great sources such as Penn teachers to back the three-year undergraduate theory and how it is emerging.
Evaluation/Reflection:
One reason I felt as if this source was reliable was not only for its excellent sources, but it comes from a managing director that has had a lot of engagement with higher education. I will most likely be using this source to back up the fact that it is better economically and socially. I will also use it to show how fast it is growing and how society is accepting it and agreeing with the thought. I am looking forward to using this source, and its support to create a well-rounded piece.

Summary:
In this article, there were multiple studies done to show students’ anxiety and stress levels compared to the overall support they received. What they found was that financial stress correlated to anxiety. For females, the stress level and anxiety that were present did not change with social support. Males when they received social support, they were a lot better mentally. There is no reason for students to have financial stress and anxiety at such an early age. But overall, this article showed how mental health for college students is being brought down by students’ financial mentality.
Evaluation/Reflection:
I like this article due to how many people took part in it, and the background some of these people have had. What made me pick this source was the graphs that laid everything out and made it very understandable for visual learners like myself. I plan to use this article to back up my claim on how it would be cheaper to complete a degree in three years rather than four and how it would fix the stress and anxiety students go through due to the financial aspect of college. I would like to use one graph to help visualize everything, and state that females’ levels did not drop from support socially, but financial support may be the game-changer.
