Experience is a key concept that is crucial for future graduates of any major.  In the education program at Suny New Paltz, Fieldwork is a required course for each of the last four college semesters. The objective of Fieldwork is for students to have the ability to spend time in a classroom with a group of students while being supervised by a cooperating teacher. During this time future teacher candidates have the ability to practice skills under their coordinating teachers supervision. Liz has taken part in two fieldwork experiences thus far in her program.
