On Thursday, May 23 at SUNY New Paltz. NYedHub: P-20 Tech Conference engaged voices from practitioners, leaders, and scholars in the Hudson Valley and greater New York region. The purpose of NYedHub is to foster collaboration between educators in K-12, higher education, and the edtech community toward effective, conscientious, and sustainable technology integration. See the schedule here.

She was recently featured in a SUNY New Paltz News article titled “Education majors lead movement to unlock potential of new K-12 technology,” for her efforts in Educational Technology for Teacher Preparation.

Liz along with two other preservice candidates Carissa Punkosdy, Brianna Vaughan, and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) representative Sarah McPherson delivered EdTech for Teacher Prep: Preservice Expectations session. Liz was able to share a lot of her views on technology in the future based on her work that she focused on this year with ET4TP and the amazing Dr. Kiersten Greene. This spark session was a brainstorming conversation to think broadly about what, exactly, we should expect of preservice teachers’ edtech knowledge, skills, and dispositions when they exit teacher prep programs. Hear from local preservice candidates and think, together, about the future of edtech in teacher prep in New York State. K-12 educators, teacher candidates, and teacher ed faculty are welcome to join this conversation.
