Climate and Weather

Science processing skills are naturally curated techniques that people use to understand and explain occurrences in the world. These skills are not just specifically used in the areas of science, once these skills are mastered they are used through all aspects of life.

Elizabeth’s Stem unit includes the following skills:

  • Observing weather in the local area.
  • Measuring temperatures of weather for a week in the local area.
  • Measuring temperatures of weather for different regions of the world.
  • Sorting specific temperatures and patterns of weather for specific months and seasons during the year.
  • Classifying regions of the world based on climate patterns and similarities.
  • Predicting future weather in local area based on previously observed data.
  • Explore regions of the world and identify their climates for each season.
  • Communicate with classmates about findings.
