“Dark Girls” & “Light Girls” Screening Event – Join us for a screening of Dark Girls (2011), a documentary film by Bill Duke and D. Channsin Berry. It documents colorism within the African American community, a subject still considered taboo by many black Americans.

After discussing the film, we will also screen Light Girls (2015) by Bill Duke. This is an in-depth look into the lives of light-skinned African-American women, the prejudices they face, and the seemingly hierarchical nature of the society. | 6:00 – 9:00 PM | LC 100
