FAQ

Who can participate in the Antiracist Campus Read?

Current academic, library, and professional faculty and staff
Currently enrolled students
CSEA employees
College administration

Is this program in-person or remote?

The program will be fully remote. We will use Blackboard and Webex to administer the program. There are synchronous and asynchronous ways to participate.

Do I need to purchase materials to participate?

No. The Sojourner Truth Library is providing access to all of the program materials. Links will be provided.

What if I can’t attend every session?

That’s ok. You can participate in as much or as little as is possible for you. Even if you can only participate in one week’s work, we encourage you to register!

I can’t come to the synchronous sessions. Should I still register?

Yes! There are synchronous (Webex meetings) and asynchronous (Blackboard) options for participation each week. Participants can choose what works best for them.

Will the synchronous sessions be recorded and made available?

No. Our priority with this program is to prioritize authentic, honest, vulnerable participation. Recording these sessions may discourage some participants for joining in the conversation. We also believe the recording requires the consent of all participants, which may not be practical or possible.

When does registration close?

Registration closes on February 28, 2022.

I’m new to antiracist work. I’m not sure if I should participate.

This program was designed with the understanding that we are all coming to this program with different backgrounds and understandings. We welcome people at all stages of developing their antiracist understanding and practice.

Do I get “credit” for participating in the program?

Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the program.
