Lycoming Undergraduate Humanities Research Conference (4/5/25) & CFP (2/3/25)
Lycoming College (Williamsport, PA) will be hosting its annual one-day undergraduate humanities research conference on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Last year’s conference featured over 70 scholars from two dozen institutions throughout the region.
The conference solicits advanced undergraduate research from scholars in literature, history, religious studies, philosophy, modern or classical languages, art history, and social sciences with humanistic content. If you have promising students who are interested in future graduate studies, professionalization opportunities, or simply sharing their research, please consider encouraging them to submit their work. The conference is free and will include awards for the best presentations in different scholarly areas. In addition, all participants will have the opportunity to submit their work to be considered for publication in the Mid-Atlantic Humanities Review: A Journal of Undergraduate Research (www.lycoming.edu/mhr).
I have attached a conference flier and the call for papers with the abstract submission deadline of February 3, 2025. We hope that you will share this opportunity with your colleagues and students in appropriate disciplines. We will be inviting guest faculty to moderate conference panels and to join Lycoming faculty for lunch, so if you are interested in participating, please let me know. If you have any questions, would like more information, or have suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact us at the Humanities Research Center at Lycoming College: hrc@lycoming.edu or 570-321-4099.
Sincerely,
Andrew Leiter
