Virtual Talk on Repatriation of Native American Art with Erin Grant – Thursday @ 7 PM!

The Art History Association is so pleased to announce the third and final speaker of its Spring Lecture Series focused on Native American visual culture, who will offer a virtual talk at 7 PM on this coming Thursday, February 29th. Erin Grant, Assistant Curator of Native American Art at the Portland Art Museum and enrolled member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, will discuss her experience navigating indigenous community outreach and museum-wide repatriation efforts. This presentation will cover her outreach methodology, relationship building, and community collaboration for the contemporary Native American art exhibition, Jeffery Gibson: They Come From Fire, and her work in the repatriation of Indigenous sacred and cultural items.
