The Virtual Presentation

My virtual presentation addressed Congress to motivate them to pass Elizabeth Warren’s Accountable Capitalism Act.

I would say that at least half of the members of Congress would be opposed to the act mainly because Congress has become notably partisan. With this being a bill Elizabeth Warren introduced, having Congress enact anything is an uphill battle. I addressed Congress as a whole because in reality, there is not much someone can do by only addressing a single person. It is challenging addressing the entirety of Congress since it is currently deeply partisan. I combined both logos and pathos by trying to appeal to Congress’s hesitancy to passing the bill. I used a combination of graphics (such as charts) and my tone of voice (stressing my voice on the statistics I was reading) to show the destructive effects of CEO overpay on everyday working Americans.
