Hello! My name is Angela Camenisch. I’m a junior majoring in art education at SUNY New Paltz. I’ve always had a passion for making, especially when it comes to drawing and painting. My favorite mediums to work with are acrylics and charcoal. I tend to draw and paint portraits and bodies.
My goals in life are simple, to help and inspire people to be creative. I want more than anything just to hear someone say that I helped or inspired them in some way. I believe I can achieve these goals by becoming an art teacher.
While pursuing a career in teaching art can be daunting, I believe this class will help provide me with the necessary tools and knowledge that I may be able to succeed as an educator. By learning different crafts and understanding different software, I will learn how to teach in a way that not only benefits my students but also me as an art educator.
I feel I’m most motivated by my passions for art and helping people when pursuing my degree in art education. More than anything, I just want to be able to use art as a driving force to have someone see the world just a little differently than they might have if art was not involved.
