Letter to Home
Dear Mom,
It’s Amber. This letter is from me to you about the residence hall I am currently staying in. The residence hall I am staying in is called Ridgeview Hall. This hall is very nice and updated. I am currently staying in room 314. The first thing I have to say about this hall is that sometimes the other girls living here as well can be very inconsiderate. They leave hair in the bathtubs, slam doors closed, scream in the hallway, run in the hallway and I heard some girls pee on the toilet seat and act unsanitary. You know how much I hate disgusting people and when people perform weird actions. I personally always clean after myself and make sure my hygiene is good when I’m here. I am very shocked at how updated and clean the building is though. The building smells nice, the furniture is clean and the hallways are kept clean. This building has a lot of amenities as well. We have a laundry room, a trash room, multiple study rooms and a lounge. The lighting in this building is also very good too. As well as the air conditioning. I would love it if I was to dorm here for the fall semester. I have two Allies here. Both of their names are Juliana and Shadica. Both are students of New Paltz. They have given up their summers to be allies in this program for us. They are both very sweet and considerate. Lately in this program though the students have been very inconsiderate. They disrespect allies, argue with one another and leave messes everywhere. I personally don’t do anything to disrespect anyone at all. My experience here has been pretty fun though. The only thing I could complain about is the students sometimes. I feel like they disrespect so much it ruins the experience sometimes. I get along with my roommate pretty well now. We have a lot to talk about now sometimes and we respect each other’s personal space. I would definitely recommend this hall to anyone who comes for the fall semester. I am actually very grateful to be in this program. I can already feel the support.
