Welcome! Oh wait, my stomach is actually grumbling from how hungry I am, but we’ll get more into that soon. I am currently attending a 3 week program at Suny New Paltz for EOP. We are currently eating at a dining hall called Peregrine Dining Hall  for our stay. This hall is huge. Surprisingly, this campus only has one dining hall which is Peregrine. I am going to be talking about everything Peregrine has to offer. In this review I am going to be discussing things such as the space, the food, the people who work there and the people who eat there.

Peregrine Dining Hall is located pretty much in the middle of the campus. Around the area of the dining hall there is not much but beautiful scenery. There is a lot of nature nearby. There is a huge lake that goes around more than just the dining hall with a big fountain in the middle of it. Going across the lake is a bridge that we walk across everyday to get to the Dining Hall from wherever we are coming from. There is a large variety of flowers growing around the Dining Hall. I wonder if the students are the ones who keep up with the gardening. Anyways, near the dining hall it is pretty quiet. The only thing I have heard in these 3 weeks that I have been here is construction around the hall. During the summer program all the hours for the places on campus are different from the fall semester. The hours of Peregrine Dining hall during the fall semester is 7:00am to 6:30 pm. We eat 3 meals a day for about an hour each day. We have been eating breakfast from 7 in the morning to 8 in the morning. Lunch from 12pm to 1pm and dinner from 5pm to 6pm. Usually all you should bring to the dining hall is yourself and a water bottle when you  don’t have classes that you may need a bookbag for. I say that water bottles be brought to the dining hall because you can fill up your bottle if needed with ice and water since it is available at the soda machines. During the 3 weeks that I have stayed here we have not had such a large variety of food options. We have two sides of food to choose from. Literally I have been eating french fries and hamburgers almost everyday for lunch and dinner. We have the option of burgers and fries for lunch and dinner and then also the option of things such as fish, chicken, potatoes and pasta. I have been eating fries and burgers though because the other options are usually flavorless and not really something I would want. In general I think this dining hall is suitable for everybody though. The space is very handy since there are so many seats and tables, there are vegetarian options available for everyone and the air conditioner works very well. One fun fact about the history of Peregrine dining hall is this hall is named for the local peregrine falcons.

To conclude my review Peregrine dining hall is a beautiful hall well taken care of and is definitely appreciated by me.
