New Student Moving In Day, Thursday, August 23

Continuing our tradition, the Center for Student Development, Residence Life, and many additional offices will be working together to provide a smooth and welcoming ‘Moving-In Day’ for over 1,300 new students and their families and we could use your help!

In order to facilitate the flow of traffic and unloading of student possessions on Thursday, August 23, we are seeking staff to volunteer for a roadside shift.

Available shifts:

9:00am – 10:30am

10:30am – 12:00pm

12:00pm – 1:30pm

*We will be providing a 2018 orange Moving-In Day t-shirt to all who volunteer!

Please call the Center for Student Development at x3088 or e-mail studev@newpaltz.edu to volunteer for one of the roadside shifts listed above.  Please also provide us with your t-shirt size, phone number, and a preference (if you have one) of which location you would like to be stationed at:

-Rt. 32 & Plattekill Avenue

-Rt. 32 & Mohonk Walk

-Rt. 32 & Hawk Drive (Haggerty entrance)

-Rt. 32 & Huguenot Court

-Rt. 32 & Southside Loop

-Southside Loop & Pond Road

-Rt. 208 & West Hawk Drive

When you receive confirmation of your shift, please save the date to stop by Student Union 301 on Tuesday, August 21 or Wednesday, August 22 to pick up your t-shirt and a copy of the Moving-In Day brochure and campus map.

Thank you in advance for your support!
